Lithographic colour proof by Arthur Bartholomew of a Tasselled Anglerfish from rockpools at Brighton shore, Port Phillip, finally published as Plate 123 in The Prodromus of the Zoology of Victoria. The illustrated specimen is the holotype of Chironectes bifurcatus McCoy 1886 (NMV A 521), a fish that McCoy considered to be undescribed at the time.
